The Christian Peculiar Group was started by my husband Eric. He is a very humble man and has a strong desire to please God but was unsure of how God wanted to use him, so he started putting his thoughts on paper and formed this platform using the insight God has given him. His desire comes from Matthew 28, go make disciples of them. His vision is first to please God, by being a willing vessel. Secondly, reveal God’s truth, rejecting anything that is not what saith the Lord, and thirdly help those who desire to know the Lord. Learning and writing about Jesus Christ has been a tremendous blessing to our lives. Our desire is to walk daily clothed in Jesus Christ and see His salvation one day!
The Christian Peculiar Group
The purpose for the Christian Peculiar Group is to get as many people in the presence of God as possible to hear “well done good and faithful servant.” And not “depart from me you who work iniquity.”
To do this, we help those in need to redirect their efforts from performing religious acts to a relationship with Christ which occurs by being Born Again in Christ. Not to insult anyone’s intelligence but we must be willing to exam ourselves to see first if we remember the day, we gave our lives to Christ and the reason why. The question is not when you were baptized. Some of us were baptized because we were of age and it was time, or the matriarch of the family said so. We simply repeated what was said by the pastor with no understanding of what it meant and next we found ourselves wet and unsaved/unchanged. If you do not remember the day you made a conscious decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior with the understanding of Romans 10:9-10 “That is you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with mouth that you confess and are saved.” (NIV) Please do it now!
Once you have been born again your name is written in the lamb’s book of life and you have the Holy Spirit abiding within you. Ephesians 1:13 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of His glory.” (NIV)
The objective is to put Jesus Christ on. Now you have done just that. Galatians 3:27 “for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. What does this mean? This is when the work begins. What work? Philippians 2:12-13 “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.” we change our world view of things. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 “So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ is this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he/she is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (NIV)
Are you in a war? Yes, you are! Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Enjoy the Struggle and fight on!.
